Infrastructure and User Services
The Radboud Healthy Data platform is a data & AI infrastructure for researchers on the Radboud university campus and contributes to a responsible digital research culture. The platform brings together existing data and compute platforms and AI tools so that researchers always have access to state-of-the-art tools without the need for building or implementing their own, reformatting data or recompiling code. The platform aims to provide interoperability and facilitate interaction with national and international research data and AI infrastructure.
Examples/description of the type of research
We will facilitate research that aims at (re)use of data & AI. This includes: making research data sets FAIR and AI-ready (including providing inference tooling); applying proper ethical, legal and societal considerations to data/AI-driven research; facilitating access to clinical data for secondary use in research; ensuring that (clinical) research data is fit-for-purpose encrypted and pseudonymised; applying the right AI method in a responsible and efficient way; developing models for sustainable maintenance of data collections and AI methods. Whilst the development of the infrastructure is generic, we will focus initially on two types of data/AI-driven research (following a thorough gap analysis on Radboud campus): 1. Continuous & Sensitive, and 2. Speech & Text. Through this focus we have been facilitating researchers with short term and long term solutions.
How to access the infrastructure?
Access to Radboud Healthy Data infrastructure shall occur through the current ICT access of the Radboud University and Radboudumc that will include this platform in their operational offering. Access to Grand Challenge is through an open-access procedure that includes registration to the globally published cloud-based challenge (see grand-challenge.org). Access to Bigpicture is through Life Science Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure (LS AAI).
